About this product
Black rice, a whole grain with a deep purple-black husk that turns a rich colour as it cooks. It has a firm bite and a mild nutty taste, and is used in Kerala kitchens for kanji, payasam and rice bowls. Rinse well and cook with about two and a half parts water to one part rice, allowing a little longer than white rice.
